The fibre optic microscope exert a white LED light for coaxial illumination. When the light is introduced into the optical path so that it emerges through the tip of the objective lens and hits the ferrule perpendicular to the end face. This course of illumination produces a high-level resolution ensuring excellent specificity of the scratches and contamination.

Operations Manual
